When the founder of Carlsberg Jacob Jacobsen opened his brewery in 1848 he conveniently built a residence for him self next to the old brew house and created a private garden. The garden was closed to the public for 160 years and was not opened up until 2008. It is a romantic garden with winding paths, bushes small hills and flowers.
