The East Quarter of a Mile Milestone

About The East Quarter of a Mile Milestone
This is a milestone showing the distance of a “Danish Quarter of a Mile” which is about 1,75 km or 1 mile from the stone to the Eastern Gate of Copenhagen and one of the last of its kind here in Denmark. The Milestone was placed in 1698. Stones were placed at each quarter of a mile from Copenhagen. For each quarter of a mile, there would be an extra dot and for each full mile a larger stone with the number of miles noted and the royal monogram.   https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%98ster_All%C3%A9#/media/File:Milestenen_R%C3%B8mer.JPG
