About The David Collection

The David Collection in Copenhagen is the largest collection of Islamic art in Scandinavia. The museum has three permanent collections: the Collection of Islamic Art, the Collection of European 18th Century Art, and the Collection of Danish Early Modern Art. The Collection of Islamic Art is the museum’s largest. It covers virtually the entire classical Islamic world, from Spain in the west to India in the east, and spans the period from the 8th to the 19th century, with all artistic media represented.
