As a promoter you can choose to be either a business partner or a private freelancer. If you have registered as a business with the Danish taxation authorities and have a VAT number, you can choose to be a business promoter and handle all the VAT reporting and taxation yourself. If you sign-up as a private freelancer, you will receive commission as a freelancer fee, and you will need to report this as “B-indkomst” in your tax returns. The commission you earn is the same for the two models.
Start from the promotions page, and click on one of the listing cards to see the offer details on the listing page of a business with an offer. Here you see the offers created by the business to you as a creator. One-time offers enable you to get a large discount for yourself, so that you can be incentivized to try out the services of the business. Businesses can also set discounts that are always available to you, which will be lower than the one-time discount.
You can share your recommendations by sharing the direct link to the recommendation or by sharing a link to your public profile, that shows all your recommendations. The link to the public profile can be seen on the Public profile details page or by clicking your image in the top menu.
The base requirement is that you must have more than 5000 followers in total on the 4 big social media sites/apps and you will need to have you social media accounts verified.
The first way is to check the “Promotions” page for businesses with promotions available, and create a recommendation of one of these businesses. If the business allows discounts for promoters you can get a great deal for yourself, and if the business offers commission, you can earn commission on bookings made through your recommendations. The second way is to invite a business to join HelloEcho by setting up a recommendation for a business you have not found on the promotions page. In this way we can see that you want to work with the business and we will contact the business, and let them know they should consider making promotional offers like commissions and discounts.
Firstly, the business you recommend has to approve commission and you have to be approved for promotions on HelloEcho. The commission amounts are shown on the individual promotions pages. You earn commissions in 4 ways: Direct commission, user commission, echo commission and creator commission. See these types below:
Direct commission is earned through bookings of your recommendations, or your echoes of other recommendations.
Echo commission through bookings made through an echo of a recommendation you have made.
User commissions when a user you have referred to HelloEcho, makes a booking with commission.
Creator commission when a creator you have referred to HelloEcho, earns direct commission on HelloEhco.
When you create a recommendation you can set how much commission you require in order to display the recommendation on your public profile. If your requirement is higher than what is offered then your recommendation will not be displayed.
Direct commission is earned on completed bookings of a recommendation made by you. The business you recommend has to approve commission and you have to be approved for promotions on HelloEcho. There are no commissions for posting on social media, only commissions on bookings made and completed on HelloEcho. The commission amounts are shown on the individual promotions pages. Direct commission percentage is always 50% of the offered commission of the business. In order to earn commission you must first enable commissions. Consider visiting more places using promoter discounts and create recommendations of the places you enjoyed and include pictures in your stories and posts on social media. The more you refer to your public profile page on social media for example , the more you will earn. Remember, you earn commission in several ways. Firstly from direct bookings through your recommendations but also through in-direct bookings made by profiles signed up from your profile or from echo commissions when a booking is made through another users echo of your recommendation.
You have to fill out the bank details on the “Account Funds” page and then go through the withdrawal process. You will need to find your IBAN which stands for International Bank Account Number. IBANs always start with two letters with country code where Denmark has DK, Sweden has SE and Norway is NO. We charge a fee for paying out commissions because our payment processor “Stripe” charges a fee for this. We charge you the same fee that Stripe charges us.
Payments from HelloEcho are in most countries considered taxable income. We suggest you consult a tax advisor for more info.
Most countries have rules against hidden advertisements. We suggest you use the HelloEcho tag on your paid recommendations and that you make it clear in your recommendation text that the recommendation is an advertisement.
