From the Tower at Christiansborg Palace, you view Copenhagen from a new angle. You can see streets, buildings and features that you may never have noticed before. You can see a myriad of roofs and towers and, on a clear day, you can see Sweden. The viewpoint in Christiansborg Palace Tower – is 44 metres high, a splendid and unique attraction. The Tower belongs to the Danish Parliament. Visitors are welcome. At 106 metres, the Tower is Copenhagen’s highest. It was extended in 1934 so that it would become the tallest tower in Copenhagen, just a bit taller than the tower of the city hall, where the local politicians of Copenhagen resides. This change was intentional by the parliament to ensure that the building representing national politics had a taller tower than the local politicians of Copenhagen.
